The sequel of 《Bruce Almighty》although you really don’t need to know much from it except we have one humourous God ^___^”
So after Evan gets humiliated by Bruce (in the prequel) he moves to NY, DC as an elected congressman. That night, he prays God to give him a chance to “change the world”. Thinking everything is finally turning for the better, he gets woken up at 6:14am and recieves a box of wooden supplies. Next morning he gets woken up at 6:14am (again) and recieves a stack of gopher wood. Despite prospects of getting sacked and disappointing his family and team, he goes ahead with biulding the ARK (stands for A Random act of Kindness) not that he has much choice with the big beard growing and the ancient (but comfy) clothes that changes on him XDD.
God: Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other?
I found this part bit touching. It was sad when his wife and son left him after telling him God didn’t want there family to break apart. Instead, God himself fixed the situation. heehee.
[Rita voices her disbelief in Evan’s ark]
Rita: Look, I go to church every Sunday.
[Evan doesn’t believe her]
Rita: I go every “other” Sunday.
[Evan still doesn’t believe her]
Rita: Alright, but I “have” been to church!
Marty and Eugene both want to go on the Ark.
Rita: I’m going home (sees water rushing towards them, pushes the two men aside) Ladies first!
Nice movie, pretty great for meaningful laughter…. is that a “genre”….Q____Q”
